Discord
Si vinculas tu cuenta de Discord:
- entras en el servidor de Discord de Superbuteo, y el juego te pone el rol de tu división y lo cambia cuando cambias de división;
- lo que escribes en el chat de la sala se publica también en el canal de esa sala en Discord, con tu nombre y tu avatar de Discord;
- tu sesión; y si juegas como invitado, el identificador y la clave de tu dispositivo, que son tu cuenta: si los borras, la pierdes;
- tus preferencias: el idioma, el sonido, la cámara, el marcador y la formación;
Tus derechos
Puedes pedirnos:
- ver los datos que tenemos de ti, y llevártelos;
- corregirlos o borrarlos;
- que limitemos su uso, u oponerte a lo que hacemos por interés legítimo, como publicar tus resultados en Discord;
Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Superbuteo is an online table football game. This page explains what data of yours is kept when you visit this website or play, what for, who else sees it and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is FVC Studios (fvcstudios.com). For anything to do with your data, write to [email protected].
If you only visit this website
This website doesn't ask you for any data, doesn't set cookies and has no analytics or advertising. If you change the language, your browser remembers it, and that never leaves it. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and the technical details of the connection to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. The fonts of the website and the game are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address. The Steam button takes you to the Steam store, which has its own privacy policy.
Your account
To play online you need an account, and there are four ways to have one:
- As a guest. It's created with an identifier for your device and a key that your browser keeps. The server stores the identifier and a fingerprint of the key, not the key itself. We don't ask you for anything else.
- With Steam. Steam confirms who you are and gives us your Steam account identifier. We store that identifier, whether you own the game and when we last asked Steam (we ask again each day you play), and the reference to your Steam avatar, which is shown in the game and loaded from Steam's servers. We don't store your Steam name: you start with a generic name and choose your own.
- With Google. Google confirms who you are and gives us an identifier for your account and your email address. We store both; your Google name and photo, we don't. We don't send you emails: yours is used to recognise your account if you write to us.
- With Discord. If you link your Discord account, we store your Discord identifier, username and avatar. The permission Discord gives us is used at that moment and not stored.
And what you choose yourself: your player name and, if you create your club, its name, its initials and its crest; your kits, your stadium and the look of your players.
What you do in the game
- Your matches: who you played, the result, the date, the type of match, how long it lasted, how many shots there were, how it ended (including if someone abandoned it) and how your elo and your division changed. The leaderboard and the seasons are built from them.
- Tournaments: which ones you enter, your ties and your trophies.
- Social: your friends, the players you ignore, the reputation votes you give and receive, and the friend passes you use.
- Moderation: if someone reports you, the report keeps its reason and a copy of what you wrote last: your last ten lines in the chat and the last private messages you sent to the person reporting you. If you get a community ban, it's kept with its reason and its length. The game's administration sees it.
Chat and messages
- The room chat is not stored. Anyone in the room can read it. The server remembers the latest lines in memory, so it can deal with a report, and loses them when it restarts.
- Private messages are stored, so you can read them, and are deleted automatically after 180 days. Only the person who receives them reads them; the administration only sees the ones copied into a report.
- The Community chat lives on Discord: it's a channel on the Superbuteo Discord server, seen from the game. To write in it you need to link Discord, and what you write is posted on Discord with your Discord name and avatar.
Discord
If you link your Discord account:
- you join the Superbuteo Discord server, and the game gives you the role of your division and changes it when your division changes;
- what you write in the room chat is also posted in that room's channel on Discord, with your Discord name and avatar;
- your Discord avatar is shown in the game. It's loaded from Discord's servers, and its address contains your Discord identifier.
And even if you don't link it: the result of a match between two registered accounts (with Steam, Google or Discord) is posted in the room's channel on Discord, with the player names, the score, the penalty shootout, the elo, the table and the room.
What we use it for, and on what legal basis
- Giving you an account, and letting you play, compete, talk to others and enter tournaments
- It's what you ask for when you play: without it there's no service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Showing the leaderboard, player profiles and results in the game
- It's part of the service: Superbuteo is a competitive game (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Posting results on the Superbuteo Discord server
- Our legitimate interest in letting the community follow what happens (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object.
- Linking your Discord: the server, your role and your chat in its channel
- Your consent, which you give when you link it and can withdraw at any time (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Moderating and keeping the game safe: reports, bans, server logs, request limits, backups and what we keep when an account is deleted
- Our legitimate interest in a game without abuse, cheating or data loss (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Complying with the law
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
What others see
Superbuteo is a competitive game, and a lot of what's yours can be seen:
- In the room, anyone who comes in sees your name, your avatar, your elo, your division, which table you're at and what you write in the chat.
- The leaderboard (the top hundred) and tournaments, with their entrants, ties and champions, can be seen without an account.
- Your profile, if your account owns the game on Steam or is a Google or Discord one, can be seen by any player: your name, your club, your elo and division, when you started playing and your numbers (goals, abandoned matches…), your last matches with their opponents, your trophies and the last reputation votes you've received, with who gave them and when.
No other player sees your email address or your private messages.
Who else processes your data
- OVHcloud hosts the game server and its database, in France.
- Cloudflare serves this website.
- Google, if you sign in with Google, and for the fonts of the website and the game (Google Fonts).
- Discord, for the Community, the results and, if you link it, your Discord account.
- Valve, for Steam, if you sign in with Steam: it confirms who you are and whether you own the game, and serves your Steam avatar.
We don't sell your data or give it to anyone else, except to an authority that requests it under the law.
Outside the European Union
Cloudflare, Google, Discord and Valve are United States companies. All four are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection, and Cloudflare, Google and Discord also use the Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your account and everything attached to it —your name, club, matches, tournaments, votes and friends— until you ask us to delete it.
- Private messages, 180 days.
- The room chat and the Community chat are not stored: the server keeps them in memory until it restarts.
- Reports and community bans, as long as the account they refer to exists.
- Server logs, with your player name, your account identifier and your IP address, 14 days.
- Database backups, 14 days.
If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, and it's gone from the backups within 14 days at most. The only things we keep, for a year, are your elo, your division, how many matches you've abandoned, your reputation and your community ban if you have one, so nobody can delete their account and come back with a clean slate. If you sign in again with the same Steam, Google or Discord account within that year, you carry on with them.
In your browser
Neither this website nor the game uses advertising or analytics cookies. The game keeps in your browser what it needs to work:
- your session; and if you play as a guest, your device's identifier and key, which are your account: if you delete them, you lose it;
- your preferences: language, sound, camera, scoreboard and formation;
- your progress in the tutorial and the training drills, and local matches, which never leave your browser.
When you sign in with Steam or link Discord, a cookie is set to check that the return is yours, and it's deleted when you close the browser.
While the game is in closed testing, it asks for an access password, and when you enter it a cookie is set that remembers it for 30 days.
Children
If you are under 14, you need permission from your parent or guardian to have an account.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the data we hold about you, and take it with you;
- correct it or delete it;
- restrict how we use it, or object to what we do on the basis of legitimate interest, such as posting your results on Discord;
- withdraw your consent, for example to unlink your Discord.
Write to [email protected] with your player name; if needed, we'll ask you for something to check that the account is yours. We'll reply within a month at most. You can change your player name and your club's name yourself in the game.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to the data protection authority of your country.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes. If the change is important, we'll announce it in the game before it applies.
